An Evening of Poetry with May Street Writers
Come join us for an evening of live poetry readings featuring Maine-based poets of the group May Street Writers. This event will be emceed by the fabulous poet and high school English teacher, Marita O’Neill.
About May Street Writers:
Every Thursday evening, the May Street Readers gather at Zanne Langlois’ apartment on May Street in Portland. Zanne is a poet and high school English teacher. After sharing some potluck dinner and raucous stories about our weeks, we write anywhere from 2-3 poems based on prompts that group members have brought. It is an empowering experience to write in community and share this writing journey with one another.
This event is free and open to all, no registration required.
