Armchair Travel: The Islands of Portugal – Madeira & the Azores

Enjoy a one-hour presentation showcasing the beauty of the principal islands of Portugal. Most visitors to Portugal visit Lisbon or the southern beaches of the Algarve, but many delights await travelers to the sub-tropical volcanic islands of Madeira and the Azores in the mid-Atlantic Ocean. Writer and photographer Ed Robinson spent three weeks enjoying
the people, foods, wildlife, and scenery. This presentation will entertain and educate with stunning photos and stories.

Our presenter Ed Robinson grew up in the beautiful Finger Lakes region of Western New York and developed a deep love for wild creatures and the environment. Since moving to Orr’s Island, Maine from England in 2007, he has been exploring this beautiful state and writing about the creatures that live here. Ed recently published his second book titled “Nature Notes from Maine: Puffins, Black Bears, Raccoons & More”, with the profits benefiting public education and conservation.
