Constant Readers’ : The Shining

Our next gathering of the Constant Readers’ Book Group we will discuss Stephen King’s novel, The Shining.

When Jack Torrance gets a job as the winter caretaker of the Overlook Hotel, he, his wife Wendy, and his son Danny, get ready for a long, isolated, hopefully peaceful winter. Unfortunately, the hotel has other plans. One of King’s most famous (and best) novels, The Shining is a terrifying ghost story about the dynamics of abuse, and how violence echoes down over the years.

This drop in book group is open to all.
