Grab a bagged lunch and join us for our next installment in our lunch and learn series. This program will highlight Maine’s beautiful seaweeds and explain the varied uses from fertilizers to fine dining. We will cover wild v. farmed, harvesting methods and how different seaweeds reproduce as well as the regulations that are put in place to protect the resource. Time for Q&A. There will also be free bookmarks with seaweed images and the Maine Seaweed Council mission.

This is a part of our Lunch and Learn Series. Keeping in mind that you will need to bring your own lunch. The library will not be providing food for this event.
