Merrill Film Society & Camden Conference Film Event : Charlie Wilson’s War

For the first in our pair of films presented in collaboration with The Camden Conference, we offer Charlie Wilson’s War, Mike Nichols’ political comedy-drama starring Tom Hanks, Julia Roberts, and Philip Seymour Hoffman. Based on George Crile’s nonfiction book, the film earned five Golden Globe nominations, including Best Motion Picture, Musical or Comedy, and a Best Supporting Actor nomination for Hoffman.
