Readers’ Circle: “The Life of Pi”

Join our long running book club, the Readers’ Circle, for our spring semester of reads.

This Spring enjoy and discuss Nautical Reads with us! Each tale takes place out on the open ocean. For a change of pace we will be reading from a broad selection of genres: non-fiction, magical realism, afrofuturism, and a tried and true classic! Discussions are held on the last Thursday of each month at 7 pm. Copies of each title are available at the library. Let us know if you need help finding a copy.

March’s title is The Life of Pi by Yann Martel. From the catalog record, “After the tragic sinking of a cargo ship in the Pacific, one solitary lifeboat remains, carrying a hyena, a zebra, a female orangutan, a Bengal tiger, and a 16-year-old Indian boy names Pi.”

• April 24th @ 7pm: The Old Man and the Sea by Ernest Hemingway
• May 29th @ 7pm: The Deep by Rivers Solomon
