April 10th @ 7 pm: The Maltese Falcon
We end this round of collaborations with Yarmouth Historical Society by screening the 1941 Humphrey Bogart film noir The Maltese Falcon.
Based on the Dashiell Hammett novel of the same name, this film was such a huge hit on release, and has stood the test of time so thoroughly, that the falcon statue props used in the film are some of the most valuable props in the world. Perhaps they’ve inspired a real-world version of the fictional greed depicted in the film? Will you also fall victim to an unquenchable thirst for the precious Maltese Falcon? Join us and learn for yourself!
