Welcome to the Opera

Curious about opera? Enjoy a night with the original musical theater art form, designed to be enjoyed by all people. Drink, eat, cheer, cry, laugh – and feel welcome! You’ll hear snippets of stories about love, revenge, hope, and more, and you’ll have singers on hand to answer your biggest questions about the world of opera – no holds barred. Mary Johnston Letellier and Sarah Agnes Tuttle will lead you through an evening featuring all of opera’s greatest composers, from Mozart to Wagner to Verdi to Strauss and beyond with Scott Wheatley on the keys. Featuring up-and-coming singers Jared Vigue and Bella St. Cyr, as well as the library’s own Courtney Kleftis.
