The library runs several groups for Adults that meet up regularly on a variety of topics.
Merrill Film Society
Any film buffs and movie enthusiasts out there? The Merrill Film Society might be just for you! They meet at the library, on Zoom, and occasionally other locations, to watch and discuss great films and the industry. Any and all are free to join in!
See our upcoming film screenings and discussions.

Nature Journaling
The Nature Journaling group meets seasonally to discuss the beauty of Maine’s changing seasons and come together for a group journaling session. Whether you have never journaled or journal every day, people of all ages are welcome to join this intergenerational gathering to start the new season with fresh perspectives and a renewed appreciation for nature.
Seasonal plants and objects, related reading, and seasonal prompts will be brought in for inspiration and paper, pens, and some crafting materials will be provided, but feel free to bring your own journaling supplies.
Look for upcoming meetings.

The Readers’ Circle
Maybe you’re looking for a more traditional book club? The Readers’ Circle is our long running regular monthly book group for adults. We meet eight months out of the year at 7:00 pm the last Thursday of the month* at the library. We read books on nearly any topic, but mostly stick to works of Fiction. Each four-book “Semester” is loosely grouped into a theme to connect the selected titles. Check the events page for current title selections and meeting dates. Any and all newcomers are welcome!
*Unless otherwise noted.
Sign-up to receive notices about club news and events.
Checkout a tote of books from one of our previous sessions and run your own book discussion!
