The library runs several groups for Adults that meet up regularly on a variety of topics.
Merrill Film Society
Any film buffs and movie enthusiasts out there? The Merrill Film Society might be just for you! They meet at the library, on Zoom, and occasionally other locations, to watch and discuss great films and the industry. Any and all are free to join in!

The Readers’ Circle
Maybe you’re looking for a more traditional book club? The Readers’ Circle is our long running regular monthly book group for adults. We meet eight months out of the year at 7:00 pm the last Thursday of the month* at the library. We read books on nearly any topic, but mostly stick to works of Fiction. Each four-book “Semester” is loosely grouped into a theme to connect the selected titles. Check the events page for current title selections and meeting dates. Any and all newcomers are welcome!
*Unless otherwise noted.
Sign-up to receive notices about club news and events.
Checkout a tote of books from one of our previous sessions and run your own book discussion!

MML Writers’ Group
Are you an aspiring writer? Once a month we have a small group of like-minded individuals that meet to discuss and encourage each other’s writing projects. Future opportunities are planned for more formal writing workshops and retreats. The group is capped at 10 people to foster an intimate atmosphere where everyone has opportunities to discuss and share their own writing. Registration is required.
