All Yarmouth residents are eligible for a free Portland Public Library card. You can save yourself the trip to a Portland Branch by applying directly here at MML. The Merrill Memorial Library is a Partner Agency Library (PALS) in association with the Portland Public Library (PPL). This allows us to issue our patrons library cards to the PPL giving them access to all their library services including all of their digital resources!
Please note: This partnership allows Yarmouth residents access to the Portland library and its digital resources. It does not give residents of other communities access to our library. If you are from out of town please see our page on how to obtain a library card at MML.
Applications are available upon request at the Circulation Desk. Once issued a card, keep in mind it could take a few days for the card to become active. You can visit any Portland Branch to apply for a card if you need immediate access.
Once a card has been obtained and activated by the PPL, you can access all of their digital resources from home.
