Join the Readers’ Circle, MML’s long running fiction book club, the last Thursday of each month at 7pm for a lively discussion of each month’s selected title.
This Spring our theme is “Autobiographical Fiction.” Each story is a fiction for sure, but the author draws on their own life experiences to inform the narrative of the plot.

1,000 Coils of Fear by Olivia Wenzel (2022)
Wenzel, a German playwright, fictionalizes the experience of being a black person living in Germany and New York during the turmoil of the 2016 American Presidential Elections. With wry wit, Wenzel dissects her own life to analyze racism, personal origins, and belonging in this debut novel.
