“Bringing Up Baby” Film Screening

Our collaboration with Yarmouth Historical Society continues with a screening of this classic screwball comedy starring Hollywood legends Cary Grant and Katharine Hepburn and directed by Howard Hawks.

Grant plays a paleontologist who is determined to complete the assembly of a brontosaurus skeleton while Hepburn portrays a leopard-owning free-spirit who mistakenly believes Grant’s character is a zoologist. A dog, a negligee, and an intercostal clavicle are thrown into the mix and the result is pure zaniness. Hawks said after the film’s release that the film has “no normal people”. Sounds great, Howard!
